Matt Triplet, Boys Head Coach (2005-Present)
Matt took over as the lacrosse head coach at St. Francis DeSales in 2005. His lacrosse coaching career began in 2000 at his alma mater, Dublin Coffman where he was head defensive coordinator for five seasons that included 2 final four appearances. Since leaving Coffman, Matt has been with the DeSales Family ever since.
Matt is native to Columbus and graduated from Dublin Coffman High School in 1996. While at Coffman, Matt was a captain his senior year playing close defense and finished his high school career playing in the All-Ohio Senior All-Star game. He went on to play long stick midfield for The Ohio State University, winning a conference championship with the Buckeyes in 1999.
Since 2000, Matt has been playing with the Columbus Lacrosse Club, winning championship titles in 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 and 2011. He has also played internationally for Team UK lacrosse, winning European championships in Amsterdam in 2003 and London in 2004. In 2011, Matt was named the US Lacrosse Central Ohio Coach of the year and the 2011 OHSLA Division 2 Coach of the year.
Jared Gonzales, Boys Assistant Varsity Coach (2008-Present)
Jared enters his fifth season with the Stallions on the Varsity coaching staff. He began coaching in 2008 with the Stallions JV and moved to Varsity in 2009. Jared graduated from Thomas Worthington High School (Cardinals) in 2007. He was a three-year letter winner and scholar athlete for the Cardinals. Currently he attends The Ohio State University pursuing a degree in strategic communication and plays club lacrosse.
Jack Tresoline, Boys Assistant Varsity Coach (2008-Present)
Jack enters his fifth season with the Stallions. In 2002 Jack founded and was commissioner and coach for both Youth and Middle school programs for St. Paul School in Westerville, Ohio. Jack is a native of upstate New York, played defense for Herkimer Junior College (NJCAA program) and later for Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). He graduated from RIT in 1982 (Captain, ECAC Champions, Division III). Jack played locally for the Columbus Lacrosse Club from 1983-1991. Jack currently resides in Westerville with wife Lynnette, daughter Alex and son AJ. His son was on the 2009 Stallions State Championship boys soccer team and is currently the starting goalkeeper for the team.
Ted Rector, Boys JV Coach (2005-Present)
Ted is back for his seventh season with the Stallions and is a former player of current Coach Triplet, graduating from DeSales in 2005. Ted played on the inaugural lacrosse team formed in 2004 and was a leading voice for the team becoming a Varsity sport. He played attack and was the leading scorer for the Stallions in 2005 with 25 goals and 8 assists. Ted’s relentless wok has been an invaluable contribution to the success of the team today. Ted is currently pursuing a degree in business at The Ohio State University.
Anthony Pezutti, Boys Assistant JV Coach (2011-present)
Anthony was a member of the inaugural lacrosse team at DeSales, wrapping up his career in 2006. Upon graduation, Anthony took his lacrosse talents to Mt. St. Josephs in Cincinnati and lettered all four years and graduated in 2010. Anthony is in his second year at his alma mater and is currently in his second year of law school at Capital University.
