Remaining Indoor Schedule

Greetings all,
I hope you had a great Christmas. Below is the remaining indoor schedules for JV and Varsity. PAY ATTENTION to the changes in dates, as the JV games will not all be on a Tuesday.

This will be in addition to the weight room workouts starting the week right after break on Mondays, Weds, and Thursdays from 3:15 – 4:00pm and open gyms on Tuesday nights from 9 – 10pm. We have the facility until 10:30 and will be helping individuals for the last half hour who want help.

Season is only 9 weeks away, our success will be determined before the season starts.

2012 Open Gym

Open Gym for the boys Lacrosse team will begin Tuesday January 3rd and end Tuesday February 21st. Each session will be from 9 – 10:30 pm at the SuperKicks Sports Complex. Here is the schedule for your reference.

In order for your son to participate they must complete the SuperKick Emergency Contact/Liability release from (see below) and bring it to their first session. I will be there the first session to collect each players paperwork. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Coach of the Year awarded to Stallions Matt Triplet

All,

I second Coach Triplet’s congratulations to the five players receiving All-State honors. They have all earned this recognition through personal hard work and the support of their teammates during the season.

Coach missed one honoree, join me in congratulating Coach Triplet on receiving the Division II All-State Coach of the Year Award!! This too is a HUGE honor!

On behalf of the Lacrosse Board, we are proud of what all of our young men and coaches accomplished this past season.

Stallion Lacrosse Player Post Season Awards

Greetings Everyone,

I know you are looking forward to the banquet tomorrow night but I wanted to recognize our players that have received post season accolades. The All-Ohio voting came out this weekend during the championship games and the players below received All-Ohio recognition. This is a HUGE honor and I am so proud of the boys and how much they have achieved this season!

Coach Triplet, Assistant Coaches, Players, and Parents,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for representing our school with tremendous pride and class this year. As I told the team after the game Saturday the growth and recognition of our program in such a short time is truly remarkable. I would like to thank each of you for the role you have played to create such a positive environment for our young people.

On behalf of the faculty and administration I wish to thank Coach Triplet for bringing great passion and care to our program. SFDHS is blessed to have a great staff leading our young people.

2011 Stallions Boys Lacrosse Banquet

Hello everyone . . . Below is the invitation to the SFD Boys Lacrosse Banquet. Please print the RSVP portion and bring it to the D2 Regional Final game Saturday night (7:30pm on May 28 at Dublin Jerome) or mail it to me or bring your check to the banquet on June 7th. We will be accepting checks at the door and you can RSVP to me by email. If you have questions or concerns please call me or email me this weekend.

I also need to collect a small amount from each family for the coaches’ gifts. You can give this money to Jennifer McClary or Lynn Slomsky at the D2 Regional Final game or include the gift amount with your banquet payment.

Stallions Win Second Round Game

On Wednesday evening, May 25, the Stallion’s 2011 OHSLA Tournament second round game against New Albany was delayed near the end of the third quarter with the score 14-3 because of lightening. The game was completed on May 26 and the Stallions won 16-6.

The DII Central Regional Finals game will be Saturday, May 28, against Dublin Jerome. Game starts at 7:30pm at Dublin Jerome stadium. The winner advances to the State semi-finals to be played on Wednesday, June 1. The State Finals will be played on Saturday, June 4 at Westerville Central High School.

Stallions Win First Round Game

St. Francis DeSales Boys Lacrosse team won their OHSLA 2010 Tournament first round game against Dublin Scioto 10-3 at Alumni Stadium on May 20.

Second round game is on Wednesday, May 25, against New Albany starting at 7:30pm at St. Francis DeSales Alumni Stadium. New Albany defeated Olentangy High School 12-5 in their first round game. Earlier this season, the Stallions defeated New Albany 17-7 on April 11 on a cold, rainy evening at New Albany’s field.

Summer League Signup

Greetings everyone,
With the JV team finishing out their season, there have been numerous questions as to our plans as a team this summer. Attached is a sign up form for the MaxElite summer league that will play on Wednesdays this summer starting on June 13. There is a web address below for more information.

We will also be attending the OSU Team camp from July 15 – 17, if you have not signed up on the OSU lacrosse website, please do. I am looking at other team camps to attend as well, I just need to see our interest level in places like Notre Dame, etc. I’m pumped to get started tomorrow night at 7:30! Let’s get as many family and friends in the stands to make the home field as real advantage!!!
